Mon journal: Aujourd'hui c'est le 6 décembre. La plupart des Américains ne célèbrent pas le 6 décembre mais dans ma famille c'est une grande fête. Le matin quand je me réveille il y a un cadeau de St. Nicolas devant ma porte. Qui est St. Nicolas vous vous demandez? C'est un homme de l'église. Il est né vers 250 et il est mort le 6 décembre 342. Il était très généreux. Il y a beaucoup de légendes sur sa générosité. Une de ces histoires est très proche de notre Père Noël. St. Nicolas est allé chez tous les enfants et leur a demandé d'être sage et s'ils étaient sages il leur donnait des cadeaux. Mon journal: Aujourd'hui c'est le 24 décembre. Demain c’est Noël. Je suis tellement heureuse. Je sais que Père Noël vient ce soir et qu'il va laisser beaucoup de cadeaux sous mon sapin de noël. Mes cadeaux préférés sont les petits dans mes chaussures près de la cheminée. Nous avons notre sapin de noël avec des petites lumières. Ma famille et moi dînons ensemble pour le réveillon de noël ce soir. Mon journal: Aujourd'hui c'est le 6 janvier. C'est un nouvel an et la Fête des Rois. Mes amis et ma famille, nous sommes ensembles pour faire la galette des rois. La galette de rois est une tradition qui date des temps romains. On fait la galette avec un haricot noir ou blanc dedans qui s'appelle la fève. Quand le gâteau est cuit, on le coupe. On commence avec la part du pauvre*. La part du pauvre est donnée au plus jeune de la famille et puis on donne les morceaux aux autres membres de la famille. Celui qui trouve la fève est couronné Roi ou Reine. *This is an old tradition.
