Spring is the mischief in me, and I wonder
If I could put a notion in his head:
"Why do they make good neighbours? Isn't it
Where there are cows? But here there are no cows.
Before I built a wall I'd ask to know
What I was walling in or walling out,
And to whom I was like to give offence.
Something there is that doesn't love a wall,
That wants it down."

Now read “The Pasture,” also by Robert Frost.

I’m going out to clean the pasture spring;
I’ll only stop to rake the leaves away
(And wait to watch the water clear, I may):
I shan’t be gone long.—You come too.

I’m going out to fetch the little calf
That’s standing by the mother. It’s so young,
It totters when she licks it with her tongue.
I shan’t be gone long.—You come too.

Which best accounts for the different views of spring expresse

Answers

Answer 1
I think "The Pasture" by Robert Frost is the poem that expresses the spring season. The Spring has always been described as the birth of many animals or the mating season. It also refers to trees growing out their leaves after winter and autumn were able to have made them fall from the grown.  Also, spring also comes and goes along side the other seasons throughout the year.
Answer 2

The poems ‘Mending Wall’ and ‘The Pasture’ by Robert Frost portray spring differently: a time of reflection and boundary-setting in the former and a time of renewal and communal activity in the latter.

The question asks for the different views of spring expressed in Robert Frost's poems “Mending Wall” and “The Pasture. In “Mending Wall,” spring represents a time of mischief and questioning. The speaker uses the time when the wall is traditionally mended to question the necessity of walls, saying, “Spring is the mischief in me, and I wonder / If I could put a notion in his head: ‘Why do they make good neighbours?’”

In contrast, in “The Pasture,” spring is portrayed as a time of renewal and pleasant chores. The speaker invites another to join in the simple, refreshing tasks of cleaning the pasture and caring for a calf, conveying a sense of joy and togetherness, “I shan’t be gone long.—You come too.” Thus, the different views of spring are accounted for by the respective contexts: one being a time of reflection and boundary-setting, while the other is a time of rejuvenation and communal activity.

How does Samuel Beckett's Endgame reflect the literary period in which it was written?

Answers

C: the pointless cycle of existence

Samuel Beckett's Endgame emphasizes the pointless cycles of existence.

Endgame, written by Samuel Beckett, is a one-act play with four characters. It was originally written in French.

Endgame's beginning, the word "finished " is repeated, and the rest of the play hammers away at the notion that beginnings and endings are intertwined, that existence is cyclical.

In 1984, JoAnne Akalaitis directed the play at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

What do poets use to appeal to the five senses of the reader? A. imagery B. Denotation C. Connotation D. Theme

A- Imagery

Hello!

Imagery is the main element poets as well as writers in general use to appeal to our five sense. Imagery is the usage of descriptive detail to better explain what makes up a certain environment or feeling. It's not limited to anything, so that means everything can be described in utterly realistic ways, and therefore helping us feel like we are within the poem as we read it, living alongside the words of the poet.

Why could “The Danger of Lying in Bed” be considered a personal essay?

Answers

“The Danger of Lying in Bed” can be considered a personal essay because:
- The story was written in a conversational manner, like a person that writes a diary.
- The characters pf the story seem personal and not a fiction
- The story seems do not have a proper chronological order and all over the place

The Danger of Lying in Bed” takes a personal experience and connects it to something more general. One issue Twain explores is human gullibility—people’s tendency to accept something without looking at its underlying assumptions. He uses the idea of the train travel insurance as the symbol for carrying this thought and analysis. He discusses the obviously silly idea about how lying in bed is more dangerous than traveling as satire to show how people can use statistics to support even the most ridiculous ideas.

Ultimately, Twain’s satirical essay shows people that they shouldn’t accept everything they are told. Twain starts with what may or may not be an actual personal experience of traveling by train and being asked if he wants to purchase traveler's insurance. He uses it to develop a satirically logical conclusion that people are less likely to die while traveling by train than while sleeping at home. He includes actual research and data to support his satirical views.

Qualities that indicate this is a personal essay include opening with an anecdote, reflecting on a personal experience, and commenting on an issue—in this case, human gullibility.

C.) 2x + y + 4 = 0

(X,Y) or (1,2)

2(X) + (Y) - 4 = 0

plug in your X and Y

2 (1) + (2) - 4 = 0

2 + 2 - 4 = 0

4 - 4 = 0

0 = 0

Final answer:

The equation of the line that passes through (1, 2) and is parallel to the line 2x + y - 1 = 0 is 2x + y - 4 = 0.

Explanation:

The question asks for the equation of a line that is parallel to a given line and passes through a specific point. The given line is 2x + y - 1 = 0. A line parallel to this one will have the same slope but a different y-intercept. The slope-intercept form of a line is y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. Since the given line has a slope of -2 (as it can be rewritten as y = -2x + 1), the parallel line must also have a slope of -2. Using the point (1, 2) to find the y-intercept (b) of the new line, we substitute x and y into the slope-intercept form: 2 = -2(1) + b, which simplifies to b = 4. Thus, the equation of the line in slope-intercept form is y = -2x + 4, which can be rearranged to standard form: 2x + y - 4 = 0.

The communication accommodation theory in the above situation can be understood below:

According to this theory, people have a tendency to accommodate the other person to whom they are talking to, and accordingly change their own behavior and way of communicating.

• In the above example, Rachael has been moving forward while talking which shows that she is more invested in the conversation than Matthew.

Answer:

Mr. Green is S.

Gave is V.

Bobby is IO.

Fishing rod is DO.

Subject, verb, object, complement, and adjunct are the components of a five-sentence structure (SVOCA). The person who performs an action or who acts as the verb's agent is the subject.

What are the different part sentence?

Only in sentences containing direct objects can indirect objects be used. On the other hand, a sentence can have a direct object without an indirect object (an example of this is simply saying Embiid passed the ball).

Indirect objects are restricted to transitive verbs only because they depend on direct objects. The verb's action is directed towards a noun called the indirect object, but because the verb first impacts the direct object, the action is indirect.

A direct object is not always accompanied by an indirect object in a statement. There must be a direct object in every phrase with an indirect object.A noun or any of its counterparts, such as a pronoun, noun phrase, or noun clause, normally creates it at the start of a sentence.

Therefore, Mr. Green is S. Gave is V. Bobby is IO. Fishing rod is DO.

Because the play Romeo and Juliet takes place hundreds of years in the past, they have some different values than we have today. Identify those values. Explain your answer using examples from the play. Use proper spelling and grammar.

Answers

Well according to the tragic death of Romeo and Juliet, times were obviously different. Wealthy families that has a daughter, such as Juliet, was forced to marry someone they don't even know { ACT 3 SCENE 5}. In Romeos case, he would have to marry someone in the same level as him ( which was Juliet, however they were rivals). As well as the knowledge to read and write- comparing it to the capulets servant, he did not know how to read b/c in that moment he was a serf. ( basically a peasent { found in ACT 1 SCENE 2}). Now a days many people today know how to read a write as well as the freedom to be with whomever we desire. I HOPE THIS HELPED YOU OUT =)!

One difference between those friendships back then and then today is that with Romeo and Juliet's relationship, it was love at first sight where they fell in love with each other in a matter of minutes and that they already want to be together forever while today, it's more complex than that. Usually, people at first are friends that they get to know each other over time while their relationship grows over time. Then at some point, they would have feelings for each other and that they'd be in love with each other while after some more time they would get married and so on. In other words, while Romeo and Juliet fell in love in only a few minutes, nowadays relationships take time to grow. And that you can't fall in love with somebody that you barely know.

Both petroleum and coal are made up of complex carbon-based molecules, and both originated with living creatures of some kind. Both are vital sources of energy for the modern world and both were formed by geologic processes over millions of years. However, petroleum was mainly formed from the remains of ocean-dwelling microorganisms. Coal, on the other hand, originated from decayed vegetation in ancient swamps and bogs. In any case, it took millions of years for both coal and oil to be produced. This is the case because it took that much time for overlying sediments to produce the unimaginable heat and pressure that would one day allow us to harvest these energy resources. Which sentence is the best example of a thesis statement for a literary analysis of Romeo and Juliet?

The correct answer is the first sentence. That is because the second is just a statement that would be elaborated in the paper, not a thesis. The third and the fourth are not it because they are not the theme of the play, since they don't try to end the feud, they just love each other, and also their marriage in secret is not important for the overall course of the play since it could've not happened and still the things would play out the same.
