Seeing Banquo’s ghost caused Macbeth an intense fear that someone would take vengeance for his death and was reminded that just like he stole the throne from Duncan someone else could steal the throne from him. As for Lady Macbeth she felt no remorse for Duncan’s death. It was only after she started having nightmares that she started agonizing for the death of Duncan because she realized that the actions she had done were wrong. Lady Macbeth in the end took her life away because the guilt carried upon her was too great.
