For example, lets say you were at the supermarket and you touched a cart that someone who was sick left their germs on. Those germs cannot enter your system unless greeted with an open orifice. If you were to touch your face with your germ infested hand chances are the germs with enter through your mouth nose or eyes and infecting you.
