Economically: food wise, everything became cheaper and all food was cheap since the places it came from was easier to come across. instead of having people pick and grow crops by hand (which takes a very long time), manufacturing and machines came about and allowed crops to be easily and quickly grown/harvested.
Socially: there was a large increase in wealth among people as much was cheaper and they could have more profit from what they sold, and the education increased since people no longer had to work for long hours every day. machines took over the work force, allowing people to not work and get an education. There was also a large population increase since people could support larger families.
Politically: kind of goes along with economic changes, but the US rose as a global economic power and the expansion of the American economy had international repercussions like the opening of relations with japan and fast territorial growth.
